Komfy Talk…The Inspiration Behind Our Unique-Shape Pillows

If you’re familiar with Komfy, you may have come across our uniquely shaped pillows that stand out not just for their appearance, but carefully crafted to solve real sleep-related problems and help ease physical discomfort that often disrupts rest. From our wave-shaped acid reflux relief pillow, to the W-shaped leg-locking pillow, the U-shaped arm pillow, and the J-shaped hugging body pillow, each design was inspired by real challenges faced by our customers, our friends, and our loved ones.

In this Komfy Talk, we share the story behind one pillow in particular, designed to address a growing concern in today’s world: acid reflux. Meet Kool Komfort Wave, our elevated, wave-shaped pillow that took us over two years to develop.

The challenge was : How can we design an elevated pillow that’s comfortable enough to sleep on all night, while still effectively reducing acid reflux? This derived to our patented signature wave-inspired design that keeps the body from sliding, supports the spine, and eliminates the uncomfortable gap between your back and the pillow. Each wave-like contour was inspired by the gentle rise and fall of water, thoughtfully shaped to fill the natural curves of the back and hips. 

We consulted with medical professionals to determine the ideal angle and height for therapeutic relief, which is 12-inch in elevation that helps reduce acid reflux without causing discomfort, for best quality sleep throughout the night. At Komfy, these unique designs are more than just pillows. They’re the result of deep research, expert tailoring, and a true understanding of the health challenges people face to deliver everyone with the best sleep experience.
